What is a labyrinth?

According to the web site for Grace Cathedral Church in San Francisco - an Episcopal Cathedral - a labyrinth is a French medieval meditation tool.  Grace Cathedral has two labyrinths - one inside and one outside.

 

We found one near All Saints in the Mountains in Colorado!
